But she transited into Glory, and at that moment suddenly received an inspiration from GOD which turned the mourning into joy,
This inspiration of launching a philanthropy organization in honor of her and to the glory of GOD is what has become This Chinyerem Philanthropy Foundation.
The word Chinyerem is derived from her name Chinyere Erem, though it also has a second meaning "Chi nyere m" which means "GOD gave me"

Deaconess Chinyere Kalu Erem is a woman of unwavering faith, immense dedication, and boundless love. Born on September 16, 1965, in the village of Ndi Eze Umuzomgbo Ihechiowa, she was the beloved daughter of Deaconess Mary Israel, a woman of great integrity, and a cherished mother of all. From a young age, Deaconess Chinyere exhibited a remarkable strength of character, a deep sense of purpose, and a commitment to her community
Deaconess Chinyere’s life was rooted in a profound Christian faith that guided her every step. A devoted servant of God, she played an integral role in the ministry alongside her husband, Pastor SK Erem, for over three decades. Together, they served as beacons of hope, compassion, and leadership within The Apostolic church and beyond. As a pastor’s wife, Deaconess Chinyere was a pillar of support, not just for her husband but for the entire congregation, embodying the love, grace, and wisdom that are hallmarks of true Christian leadership. As a deaconess, she was known for her servant heart, always ready to lend a hand, offer counsel, and minister to those in need. Her impact was felt not only in the spiritual realm but also in her personal interactions, where she was known for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering support to everyone she met.
Deaconess Chinyere had her early education in the 60’s after which she attended her secondary school at Ohafia girls Model Secondary School. She went further to achieve her degree and ventured into education. She was an educator of note, a teacher par excellence, rising to the peak of her Career she was serving as the Principal of Isiugwu Ohafia Secondary School before her sudden transition . Her career in education was marked by her commitment to excellence and the development of young minds. As a leader in the educational sector, she was a source of inspiration to both her students and colleagues, fostering an environment of growth, discipline, and integrity. Her legacy in education was one of empowerment, encouragement, and tireless devotion to the future of Nigeria’s youth.
Deaconess Chinyere’s marriage to her husband was a true partnership, one built on love, mutual respect, and a shared vision for ministry. Together, they were a dynamic force, touching countless lives and building a strong foundation for their family for over 30 years. The couple was blessed with three wonderful children and a grandchild, each of whom carries forward her legacy of love, strength, and faith. Her family was always at the center of her heart. The year: 2024, Chinyerem Philanthropy Foundation was launched with The Vision of helping and empowering people, with these 3 major areas being our focus: Charity Donations, Skill Empowerment and Financial Empowerment
We began our skill empowerment programs in the year 2025, starting with Tech Skills, these became an opportunity for most people to acquire skills in the area of Tech at zero or subsidized cost.
The year 2025, also marked our kick off of Financial Empowerment Programs, designed to empower skilled people who need funding to start up their business.
The year 2025, we began making charity donations to those in need, both through online and offline platforms.
Our first SHOW OF LOVE Event held in 2025, this was the first opportunity for us to be used by GOD to express HIS Love to a large audience at once.
